Simple ideas. The basics: isorhythm, proportion, a little counterpoint, a gesture, some motion- but not too much. At times fleeting, sometimes more pronounced. Now that I’ve listed these things, I can’t help but wonder if that means this is a meditation or just some memories of the past; bits and pieces, things I feel I didn’t quite get right the first time. Maybe I’ve lost the plot a bit... am I going through the motions, or are the motions going through me? Reflect. Wade. Wait. The closest I’ve gotten to impressionism. Expressionism? No, that’s not it... Where was I? Oh yes, I’m supposed to tell you about something... does my opaque daydreaming suffice? Is it helpful? If not, I’m sorry; I still trust you.
